Here’s how Kevin DeYoung opens his very helpful post on Mormonism:
Mormonism is back in the news. And with two Mormon presidential candidates, including Mitt Romney (the front runner for the Republican nomination), there’s a good chance we will be hearing much more about Mormonism for the next twelve months.
Given that Mormonism is “back in the news,” it’s timely to consider anew some of Mormonism’s theological teachings. DeYoung does this helpfully under seven topics including Mormonism’s view of history, view of revelation, view of man, view of God, view of Christ, view of the atonement, and view of salvation. DeYoung also refers to other helpful resources to better understand Mormonism and how it departs from orthodox Christianity.
