Till Death Do Us Part

Mark 10:1-12 is an amazingly beautiful word about marriage. This is my text for tomorrow’s sermon. In this song by Matthew Mayfield I hear its echo (lyrics below).

The sunlight is stationed high to her right

With marks of the angels that kissed her in flight
A cheap imitation, those boys with their lies
A true revelation brings a man to his wife

Oh, what a beautiful scene— a man awaits his bride
Oh, how those bells sweetly ring, when she is by his side
It’s all about to change
It’s all about to be the same

A stone set in wire— a gift for this day
As sun sets on diamond, forever awaits

Oh, what a beautiful scene— a man awaits his bride
Oh, how those bells sweetly ring, when she is by his side
It’s all about to change
It’s all about to be the same
